Washington Island Child Care is looking for a Part-Time Child Care Worker
Workers are responsible for the well-being of the children under their care. They must monitor the children to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner. They will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.
Responsibilities
Working with the licensee, Lead Teacher and parents to form a positive, supportive atmosphere
Ensuring confidentiality of privileged information
Adhering to Center policies and procedures and to licensing rules
Working all days and hours assigned; perform all assigned tasks and responsibilities; be punctual
Performing any additional program duties as assigned by the licensee or Lead Teacher according to Center needs
Attending all scheduled staff meetings
Skills
Proven experience as a childcare / daycare teacher
Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
Methodical and creative
Patience, flexibility, and love for children
Strong communication and time management skills
Requirements
Certificate in first aid and CPR
Mandated Reporter Training
Any/all childcare clearance requirements including State of Wisconsin fingerprinting and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
Immunization records
Physical examination
High School Diploma
Job Type Part-Time
Pay $15.00 per hour
Schedule Flexible, Monday to Thursday between the hours of 7:15 AM and 5:45 PM
License/Certification Willingness to complete State of Wisconsin licensing requirements
